Travel and Adventure
My curiosity into the world of real estate began with my travels. I grew up on the shores of Lake Erie. I could see the coasters of Cedar Point from my house on a clear day and ended up working there through high school and college. While still in college, I embarked on the adventure of a lifetime as a foreign exchange student to Argentina where I lived with a family there. My immersion into Argentinian culture and language allowed me not only to become fluent in Spanish but to also count my host family as my own. It was there that I began to learn about different types of homes and new ways of living. Following my year abroad I then backpacked through Europe, staying with friends I had met both at Cedar Point and with other former exchange students who had traveled to Argentina.
Finding My Path
At Ohio University, I decided to pursue a career in physical therapy, first earing a B.A in Psychology and then obtaining my Doctorate of Physical Therapy. As my physical therapy education and career developed, so too did my interest in buying, renovating and selling my own homes. I’ve lived in town (Athens), just outside of town (The Plains), and WAY out of town (past Guysville), and each move gave me an opportunity to appreciate the pluses and minuses of different lifestyle and locales. No matter where I have lived, the kindness of the people and the way of life in Southeast Ohio has always been important to me. And after just a short stint away in Mansfield, Ohio, I returned back to Athens, now my “real” home, where I’ve put down my roots and began raising a family.
Home Life
In 2019 I married my best friend. We enjoy trail running, hiking, and playing with our two dogs and three young boys. We both love a good adventure and enjoy traveling and great food, so the wonderful locally-owned restaurants and the various outdoor activities of Athens is what we both love about SE Ohio. We hike with the kids, swim at the local “lakes,”and try out new menu options at the area restaurants. Hitting the trails is our past time and I was finally able to complete my dream of running a half marathon on the trails; my next goal is to catch up to my husband (I started later, but am ambitious and have a strong “achievement ethic”!) and to someday run an ultra-marathon.
Hard Working
As a mother of three young boys and two high energy pups (Mastiff/Aussie Mix and Siberian Husky), I am—if I do say so myself–an accomplished multi-tasker! I love a challenge and I love to help
people. Real estate allows for both. Know that I am here to help you get the outcome you want—whether buying or selling your home—and that I will go above and beyond to make that happen.
